Mocktails are one of my favourite things to have during the summertime. The summer fizz is a sweet, tangy and fizzy drink that has the flavours of lemons and raspberries. It is an excellent choice for something to serve at a big party, as it doesn't take too long to make, and also doesn't need to many ingredients.
INGREDEIENTS YOU WILL NEED:
1. In a blender, combine all of the ingredients together. 2. For presentation, serve each glass with a raspberry and a lemon slice on the side. This drink is mouth-watering to just look at. It is classy, tasty, and the nice colour of the drink really accents its magnificent flavour. I hope you enjoy making this and sharing it with friends. Bye! xx

This smoothie is so tasty and refreshing. This what I usually start my day with. It is also very healthy. I usually add some chia seeds into my smoothies. Chia carries omega fatty acids, which is good for our brain, and helps us to focus throughout the day. They are also high in fiber, protein, rich in antioxidants, and reduce the risk of diabetes. I could go on about the benefits of chia seeds, but overall, it really adds an extra plus to this smoothie.
INGREDIENTS YOU WILL NEED:
1. First, pour in the orange juice, yoghurt, and honey into the smoothie maker jug. Then, add the chia seeds. Now, pour in all the fruits. Put on the lid, and set up the blender. 2. Next, turn on the smoothie maker, and choose a speed. On my smoothie maker, I usually start at a 4 and bring my way up to 5. When it looks smooth, turn off the blender, and pour it out into a glass. This smoothie is very filling and it tasted scrumptious. Things as simple as using honey instead of sugar can make a difference. Sweet, fresh, and a nice way to cool down. Here is my take on a yummy, mouth-watering strawberry milkshake.
INGREDIENTS YOU WILL NEED:
1. Blend well in the mixer and serve cold. This is one of the shortest recipes I have on this blog. Although it is very quick and easy to make, it tastes amazing. Enjoy! xx ,One of my all time favourite baked goods is lemon pound cake. I love the tang of the lemon, balanced with the sweetness of the glaze. In this version of lemon pound cake, I like to keep it simple. No twists, no secret ingredients, just classic lemon pound cake. I hope after trying this, I hope it will be one of your favourites too!
INGREDIENTS YOU WILL NEED: CAKE
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. 2. In a large bowl, using an electric whisk, cream the sugar and butter until it is light and fluffy. Then, add one egg, mix, and add the other. Next, pour the milk into the mixture. 3. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking powder, and lemon zest. Pour this into the batter. Combine well. Then add the lemon extract into the batter and stir until it is smooth, and there are no lumps left. 4. Pour this into a loaf pan and pop it into the oven for around 1 hour, but check on it around 50 minutes through, as sometimes some cakes cook quicker than others. To see if it is cooked well, take it out of the oven, and poke a toothpick down the centre of the cake. If the toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs, or completely clean, then it is ready to come out. 5. Once the loaf is baked, let it cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before you take it out. 6. Now, for the glaze, pour the lemon juice and sugar into a saucepan. Heat this mixture until the sugar has dissolved and it forms a nice, smooth glaze. 7. Finally, drizzle the glaze over the cake and let it cool. This is a delicious cake. It is easy to make, and doesn't require too much effort. I hope you have fun making this at home! Enjoy! xx I love to use what I have at home already to make simple but delicious dishes. This wonderful, hearty casserole will make delicious meal. This is a great recipe for someone who enjoys Mexican food, as this includes similar flavours that you can find in Mexican cuisine.
INGREDIENTS YOU WILL NEED:
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. In a hot, medium pan, pour in the cooked macaroni, and then pour in the two varieties of cheese. If you do not have these two cheeses on hand, then you can add 2/3 cup of any cheese of your desire. Stir in the cheese, to combine well, and continue to stir the cheese has melted nicely into the pasta. Set the macaroni and cheese off to the side. 2. Next, in a separate pan, add some oil. Let the pan heat to medium-high, and then add the chicken. Ground meat tends to clump itself together at times, so make sure to separate it while stirring. Add Mexican seasoning, garlic, pepper, and a little bit of salt. Brown the meat well, so it isn't left raw. 3. Then, combine the corn and beans with the chicken. The beans don't need to be on the stove for too long, and neither will fresh corn. However, if it is frozen, then you need to make sure it gets enough time to cook. Once the vegetables are cooked and combined, pour in the yummy macaroni into the chicken and vegetable mixture. Mix well. 4. Although you could leave it like this, and serve it, I like to take a little extra share of shredded cheese to sprinkle over the casserole. Then I pop it into the oven for a few minutes so it really adds a nice warmth that bring the dish together. I hope you liked this recipe. I found it so tasty, and it isn't too unhealthy apart from the cheese. Using chicken for the casserole is healthier than beef, because beef is higher in saturated fats and cholesterol, which can clog arteries and cause high blood pressure. However, beef does taste very nice in the casserole. Choose the option that is best for you, personally. Enjoy xx This summer, I've been trying some new smoothie recipes, this being one of them. I used a fresh blend of avocado, lime, and kiwi. It can be a great, fresh start to your day.
INGREDIENTS YOU WILL NEED:
1. The avocado should be dark, so that it is ripe and soft enough to use. Cut around the side of the avocado, and twist both halves off of one another. Take out the core, and then scoop out the rest into a bowl. Set it off to the side. 2. Next, peel and cut the kiwi into smaller pieces. Then, cut the lime and squeeze out the juice of it into another bowl. 3. Get out the smoothie maker, and pour the orange juice into the jug. Add the lime juice. Then, pour in the sugar and chia. After, pour in the avocado and kiwi. Blend until smooth. I hope you like this lovely smoothie. To keep up with my new baking creations, follow @annieskitchenx on Instagram.
